When songs you like doesn’t have any electric guitar tabs and only thing you can do is adapt ukulele chords for electric guitar.

To all the people that have little to no Experience with playing a guitar. Do note i’ve been playing for 3 years day after day. While attending both public schools and military school for the past 2 and a half years. I can say that if i was a new guitarist then i’d follow the tips she has listed in this video. If you didn’t know this. She’s been playing for over 4 years now. A few months ago in July was her 4th year playing. She also uploaded a video about her 1st day 1st week 1 month 2nd month 4th month EXT. So she has a pretty good idea about what she’s talking about. Good luck

Thanks for sharing! You might want to check out The Billboard 500. They only accept people who are talented and very serious about their music career, and I think you’d be a great fit! If you’re looking to collaborate with Platinum producers, Grammy songwriters, VMA winners, A&R from major record labels and publishing companies, platinum artists, and heads of sync companies then you should definitely check out the website. They post weekly live stream sessions, contests, and a variety of networking opportunities. Their goal is to change the music industry from the inside out. Maybe you could make a video about what hardware/software/apps/services you use for slowing down and looping songs and other similar type things that might be helpful for a beginner.
    Or maybe you already have.
Or maybe I’m the only one that would be interested in that…
I’d just really like to see how you go through that process but with a breakdown of the tools used as well as the process itself.

I see you’ve got the Yamaha amp! X

I think one thing many have not said that is important I think is to check out lots of guitar companies’s guitars because there are now many cheaper and mid priced guitars that are pretty good for the price now and getting the right guitar or guitars for what you want to play and one or ones that feel good in your hands might inspire you to practice more. I am inspired to keep practicing a lot now that I have super good tones with my gear for what I want, That is for sure. I could not get the exact tone I wanted with my hollow body, but with a mic and the amps I have now, it sounds so good and makes me want to practice Jazz more for sure. If you want to practice improv I recommend easy backing tracks to jam over and over some simpler songs. I think practicing for little bits of time when you are starting and then moving to longer practice sessions later when you hands have gotten stronger is good if you want to be a more semi pro and/or more theory bassed player I think. Nice tips here though. I really think developing at my own pace instead of a teachers pace has been best for Jazz and some other stuff for me though. Flamenco is good to have a really teacher for though. FYI I think Rick Beato and Jens Larsen have some great lessons for music theory for guitar I think and some of their videos I super like are free even… yes I have seen so many other teachers on YouTube that were not for me.

Your an inspiration to me. I dig your positivity and the detail you go into in each video. It also helps that you have an infectious smile and just seem so friggin happy to be playing. Hot chicks who play guitar are cool too 🙂

I’ve been playing for 30 years and I’ve never done any kind of stretch or warm up. And I’ve never had any wrist or finger injuries. I usually practice no more than 5 or 10 minutes at a time these days because I don’t have the patience. I’m not in any bands anymore because, well, it sucks. I hate late nights playing shows for a bunch of drunk people who really don’t care about the bands anyway.

  25. Arpan Shrestha on March 20, 2021 at 7:52 pm

    Thanks mate❤
I’m not a beginner but it was helpful….

  26. אריק on March 20, 2021 at 7:52 pm

Nice Ibanez S. I used to have one and now I am hoping for another. They are my favorite body shape. I prefer their light weight. They look cool to. Nita Strauss has a similar guitar… the JIVA…. I am thinking about it but I would want the more expensive model because of the Pick Ups and 3 piece neck.

  27. Mike 191919 on March 20, 2021 at 7:54 pm

My wrist always hurts when I play barre chords for longer than a min or two lol, I think the stretches will come in very handy! (-:

I remember when I got my first electric guitar but it was a toy that came with a CD full of songs and notes as well and the first song I tried playing with the guitar was by ricksfield: human touch and at first it was very hard until I actually had to replay it more than once to figure out how the guitarist play the note and after almost a month I was able to play the song but sort of in an instrumental guitar style type but sadly my little brother picked it up and accidentally dropped it from the stairs and broke it but now I’m 19 and still looking for a new guitar that’s just between $200 and $100

  36. Tarık on March 20, 2021 at 8:04 pm

You inspired me to learn guitar and i think i’m gonna buy epiphone sg special. Does anyone know if it’s a good choice for a beginner

  37. Sarah Landry on March 20, 2021 at 8:04 pm

When you were discussing the speed when learning songs, I realized that is what I’ve been doing. I’ve been using Ultimate Guitar’s pro tabs to learn songs (you follow along with the song with the tabs on the screen) and gradually speeding up each time I get comfortable with a certain part. Im at a point now with my playing where I can do all of the verse and chorus work for most songs, but when I get to solos I just have to slow down for those. A big example for that for me was Tornado of Souls by Megadeth. 🙂 glad to see im not the only one doing that

  38. David Augustine on March 20, 2021 at 8:05 pm

That’s why I love her! She emanates pure joy, how rare is that!….Swoonnnn.x

  39. Kay Robinson on March 20, 2021 at 8:06 pm

Did you start playing acoustic or electric first? I started playing acoustic and have been playing for years and now I’m transitioning to more of an electric style of playing to expand my skill level. Any tips for me?

Also can we be friends? Hahah no but seriously. 🙂

  40. Drek on March 20, 2021 at 8:06 pm

Had to quarantine due to COVID a couple weeks ago and after going stir crazy for being trapped in the house for just a day, I realized I have no excuse to not practice guitar. I obviously have ways to go but now I have developed a habit of practicing an hour per day, I can play 12 chords and can transition between most of them except for the B7 chord. Thank you JustinGuitar. If anyone else has any other beginner guitarist resources, let me know!

  41. Erasmus Erastus on March 20, 2021 at 8:07 pm

Don’t forget Rachel, it’s very important to always use a good Metronome during every practice session. I recommend the "Pro Metronome" one can get as an Android app on the Google Playstore. Rock on Rachel 🎸👍👍🤘❤🇺🇸❤☮✌.

  42. General Awareness on March 20, 2021 at 8:08 pm

I am at the fingertip pain stage so I do the open D and A chord for 20 mins a day and I just got into the transition lesson BUT I don’t feel as if I am going anywhere (a tire stuck in the mud so to speak) and it is so boring that I am like a kid again counting down the clock at school.

Question do all electric guitars have to be plugged into a amp to work or do they work without an amp?
